 Product Exchange Policies (Returns)

 In-Store Purchases

 We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase from The Shop Vancouver. If you need to return an item to us for exchange or in store credit, please note that all items must be returned to The Shop Vancouver within 10 days of the original purchase date ( meeting all conditions listed below)  in the condition that they were received—NOT WORN, ALTERED OR WASHED, and with ALL TAGS ATTACHED.

if these conditions above are met, and the item is in perfect resalable condition, you can return regular priced merchandise for an exchange or in store credit, Sorry but we do not do cash/ credit card or debit card refunds. 

 All sales of discounted products are FINAL and cannot be returned or exchanged for any reason. 

Online Purchases

PLEASE NOTE WE CAN NOT SHIP TO PO BOXES WITH THE FREE SHIPPING OPTION.

We reserve the right to cancel orders which have been deemed a risk of fraud. Shopify does notify us of levels of risk, sometimes there is an error, our policy however is to automatically cancel all orders marked with a risk of fraud.  You will be contacted via email letting you know of the issue. 

Cancellations / refunds tyically take between 24/48 hours to clear from our system. 

It then depends on the bank or card cycle as to when the funds will show up again on your end. Shopify says in their terms of service that this may take 5-10 business days. 

This time line IS NOT The Shop. There is nothing we can do to speed up , your bank , your card carrier , shopify payments or any other 3rd party payment provider that may have been used. 

 We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase from The Shop Vancouver. If you need to return an item to us for exchange or in store credit, please note that all items must be returned and received by The Shop Vancouver within 10 days of the first delivery attempt date in the condition that they were received—NOT WORN, ALTERED OR WASHED, and with ALL TAGS ATTACHED.

Please note that Warranty issues are at the discretion of the brands and not The Shop Vancouver. Warranty issues DO NOT cover general wear and tear. 

Though we do our very best to ensure our items are kept in the best possible condition in store. Some items may have small scratches or slight wear. These are considered to be within reason, and are not covered as warranty, nor are they reason for items to be returned, exchanged or refunded. 

If you have an issue with an item, please reach out and as always , we will do our best to get you sorted. 

 If the above conditions are met, and the item is in perfect resalable condition, you can return regular priced merchandise within 10 days from the day you receive your first delivery attempt to The Shop for an store credit or to be exchanged for another size.

The Shop Vancouver is not responsible for shipping fees on any items that are purchased via the online store that are being exchanged for another size or for store credit. Any shipping charges incurred due to exchanges or returns for store credit for any reason are the responsibility of the customer ( credits will be issued minus any shipping /  transaction fees) 

For exchanges, please include a written description of the items needed along with your order original order number.

 Once the returned goods have been received and undergone a quality control check, an exchange or Credit will be issued, Exchanges will be dispatched to you after we have received payment to reship your goods to you. 

Credits will be issued Minus any incurred shipping / fees related to the transaction.

 We do not currently accept online returns and exchanges internationally. If you have an issue on an international (outside of Canada) order please email us for more information,  contact Brapp@TheShopVancouver.com

ANY ITEMS RECEIVED AFTER THE 10 DAY RETURN PERIOD WILL NOT BE ISSUED A CREDIT

 

Pre Order, Deposits and Holds 

pre-orders are final sale! They are non-refundable / non-exchangeable  

(for many pre order and regular stock items we offer a size exchange policy only when noted on the order and when confirmed. Size exchanges are only held out of stock for a max of 7 days from the time you receive your balance remaining invoice. note We do not do additional sizes on orders over size 11, Under size 7, and in *E, EE or EEE width) 

We require the final payment invoice to be paid within 30 days from the date it is first issued; After 30 days you will receive a last reminder email giving you another 24 hours to complete the purchase. 

If payment is not made within that 24 hour period you are forfeiting the product and subsequently your deposit.

In the case of a return for a size exchange on non custom items where a customer does not or is not willing to make payment for return shipping, a store credit( gift card) will be issued minus all original shipping and related charges to receive the item back to us. 

Please note : We provide you with the most accurate information we can about lead / production times. However lead times are in constant flux and determined by the manufacturer of the pre ordered product and are subject to change without notice. 

When orders are placed we only have a rough idea of how long it will take for the product to be produced and changes to that time are out of our control. 

Holds

Requests to hold products can be made, however we will only hold certain products until the end of that business day. 

Never assume a product is being held for you.

Unless we have confirmed the exact item with you specifically.

It is the customers responsibility to ask for confirmation.

Unless I specifically state that the item will be held for you, please do not assume that it is. 

Any items requested to be held past the end of the day, will require a non refundable deposit.

Cancelation of an order

All online orders that are cancelled are subject to a cancellation fee.

If the item has already shipped,

You will be required to return the item to The Shop Vancouver within the 10 day period of your first delivery attempt.

Returned Items will go though a quality control check and if all criteria are met,

your order will be cancelled and store credit issued minus the restocking or service fees (including but not limited to , duties, customs and shipping charges, shopify, creditcard / bank fees and restocking fee. ) 

If your Item hasn't shipped, you will be responsible for all transaction service charges. 

PRE ORDER Cancelation 

Pre orders that have been ordered are non refundable. 

Shipping Information

We’re a small operation, but we’re usually able to get things out same day. If orders are placed after hours or when we are closed, we will ship them as soon as we are open.

All Canada bound online orders shipped Via Canada Post.

United States of American bound orders are under $1000 are shipped via Canada Post /USPS with tracking 

On orders over $1000 United States of America ,

UK, Europe and Australia online orders you have the option of selecting DHL with tracking or via Canada post / EMS

Items shipped with tracking and marked as "delivered" are then considered delivered and received by the recipient. The Shop Vancouver bares no responsibility to refund or replace a product that has been marked "delivered" or "Received" by the shipper. 

If you have concern about the security of where your delivery is to be left, you can email us with your order number and for an up-charge we can add a signature option or insurance to orders.

Ordered marked as "delivered" to the address provided without a signature option are considered delivered to the recipient. 

The Shop Vancouver bares no responsibility to refund or replace a product that has been marked "delivered" or "Received" by the shipper due to loss or recipients claim of no delivery. 

**Amendment Feb 1 2017, As of Feb 1 2017, All Canadian and US orders will be shipped with tracking. Tracking numbers are available upon request. 

Some International orders may not be sent with tracking, the majority are , but please email request as there maybe an additional fee. 

Risk of Loss.

 All products purchased from the website are transported and delivered to you by an independent carrier not affiliated with, or controlled by, The Shop Vancouver. Title to the products purchased on the website, as well as the risk of loss for such products, passes to you when The Shop Vancouver delivers these items to the carrier.

Duties and Customs Charges for all out of country orders.

Depending on where you live, you may be charged duties and or customs in order to receive your purchased item. All Duties and Customs charges are passed to the purchaser, The Shop Vancouver is not responsible for any of these charges.

ITEMS RETURNED TO THE SHOP VANCOUVER FOR FAILURE TO RESPOND OR MAKE PAYMENT TO CUSTOMS FOR DUTIES AND OR TAXES OWING ,WILL NOT FALL UNDER NON DELIVERY AND WILL NOT BE REFUNDABLE. 
AS THIS IS A REFUSAL BY THE CUSTOMER TO ACCEPT THE ITEM. 

AS NOTED , PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL CUSTOMS OFFICE FOR ANY FEES THAT MAY BE ASSOCIATED WITH RECEIVING INTERNATIONAL GOODS. 

CAN YOU PUT A LOWER VALUE ON MY PACKAGE?

One -  it's illegal.

Sale And Final Sale Items

All items purchased "on sale" or "discounted" are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned or exchanged. If we receive a returned sale or final sale item, you will be notified by a staff member via email requesting payment for return shipping. No exchange, credit or refunds will be issued.

Please note : Sale Items may have light shelf wear, but are new. Shelf wear may include but is not limited to light scratches, and slight blemishes.

All cosmetics, skin care, and fragrances are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged

Motorcycle Parts and *Helmets 

Please take extra care when ordering Motorcycle Helmets.  Follow the sizing video and instructions in our product listing to best determine the size you need before placing your order

Underwear

Sale and Discounted Items 

All items purchased on "discount" or "on sale" are final sale and cannot be returned for credit or exchanged for another size. These items are all FINAL SALE 

Footwear

Even though they are new, because of the nature of Leather, our footwear may have natural scaring or signs of shelf wear from other people trying them on. If this is something you are concerned about please contact us BEFORE you complete your transaction and we can go over the footwear you wish to purchase to make sure it is in good enough condition for you.
Shoes are then sent out in as is condition (which is new store condition)

Upon receiving your shoes, check the sizing by trying them on indoors, on a carpeted surface so as not to blemish the soles. We do not accept returns or exchanges on shoes that are scuffed, marked, creased or worn. Footwear returns and exchanges must include the original designer shoe box, undamaged and free of postal labels. Footwear returns without the original designer packaging will not be accepted.

Shoes shipped from The Shop Vancouver are in New condition but may include light shelf wear.

SECTION 3 - DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment:

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Here is a list of cookies that we use. We’ve listed them here so you that you can choose if you want to opt-out of cookies or not.

_session_id, unique token, sessional, Allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc).

_shopify_visit, no data held, Persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit, Used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits

_shopify_uniq, no data held, expires midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day, Counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer.

cart, unique token, persistent for 2 weeks, Stores information about the contents of your cart.

_secure_session_id, unique token, sessional

storefront_digest, unique token, indefinite If the shop has a password, this is used to determine if the current visitor has access.

PREF, persistent for a very short period, Set by Google and tracks who visits the store and from where

SECTION 8 - AGE OF CONSENT
